Writing

Shannon has written for several local news publications in New York City, including The Brooklyn Paper, West Side Spirit, and Our Town. She is currently a staff writer/editor for the Medical Group Management Association.

Shannon also enjoys writing about history and has written several pieces exploring interesting moments in history, including a long-form piece on Nebraska photographer Solomon Butcher for Narratively, the fascinating backstory of WWI Victory Lamps for Mental Floss, and a short piece on a relatively undocumented art show at the Brooklyn Army Terminal.

You can explore more of her work below.
